Working At Eximius

Our office manager Jenny shares some insights into what managing a live-in care provider is like, and why she loves her job!

I have been the Office Manager at Eximius Live-In Care in Beaconsfield for over a year. My key responsibilities are to ensure the office runs smoothly, and always plan my day and prioritise my workload, from urgent to non-urgent tasks, queries, enquiries, rotas and compliance, as well as making sure the work is completed in a timely manner.

I am the first contact for Eximius, either over the telephone, email or face to face. I always feel it’s of the upmost importance to give the professional approach and this is something I pride myself on. I am extremely conscientious and manage my workload effectively. I get a real sense of achievement when I can see my jobs list completed throughout the day, knowing I am on top of everything gives me a real boost.

It is very important to stay focus, as in care things can change on a daily basis, and you need to be able to act appropriately. I provide clear communication to Managing Director and Registered Care Manager, ensuring they are always fully informed of any changes, enquiries or issues. I have the support of an admin assistant who supports me with compliance and governance. We all pride ourselves on working closely together and supporting each other, which is a great morale booster.

I love being able to contribute to Eximius, I think the most rewarding part of my job is completing tasks that I know will make someone else’s day just a little bit easier. Being someone who is willing to help whether their request falls under my job description or not, I am the type of employee who strives to help others and this is something I am very proud of.

It is a busy office and I can say no two days are the same!
