June, 2017. Local entrepreneur and care company boss Kate Hetzel is celebrating after her company ‘Eximius’ was awarded an ‘outstanding’ rating for the level of care they provide to residents of Buckinghamshire and Berkshire who need care at home.
The company, which was formed in 2016, has achieved the rating on its first attempt. Kate, who has worked in the live-in care sector for the last 14 years said:
“We are all thrilled. Our reason for existing is to provide care to the increasing number of people who need support and would rather have it at home than in a care home. So, to be told we are outstanding at providing this is a great endorsement.”
“I have always wanted to focus on live-in support and create a service which is about the person and not the tasks. We not only care for medical and health needs, but also social and wellbeing. Our support companions can arrange outings, holidays and even dinner parties!”
A relative of one of Eximius clients said “We are delighted for Kate and so I wanted to go on record as saying that their service is the best I have come across. After a couple of stressful years we feel like we have been rescued – we cannot imagine life without the support of Eximius.”
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspects care services in England and use the evidence they collect to reach judgements about the quality of care. They publish reports about the services they inspect on their website, including ratings, which can help people decide the right company for them. They inspected Eximius during May 2017.
